How it works:

AMP’s Media Server creates a stereoscopic image (two images displayed at once) that work in tandem with a 3-D capable television and specially designed glasses to create images that appear to be coming out of the screen and into your living room.

FAQS:

Do I need special glasses?

Yes, the glasses are needed to put the two images into one.

They are comfortable, and can fit over prescription eyeglasses if needed.

Plus, they look cool. The GL1000 and GL3159 both include 2 pairs of glasses.

Are the movies in those weird colors?

Previous 3-D movies were categorized as “anaglyphic”. That is, they created the image in two colors (usually red and green) to create a limited 3-D effect.

AMP 3-D Servers create a true 3-D effect by creating two separate images. The technology is called “stereoscopic 3-D”.

Further, people who have never seen 3-D before because they were astigmatic, near-sighted, or color blind have been able to experience 3-D this way.

Will it work with any TV?

No, you will need a 3-D capable TV to generate a stereoscopic image.

Our partner, Mitsubishi produces several 3-D ready models that also create outstanding 2-D images as well.

Can any movie be made 3-D?

AMP Servers are able to playback standard DVDs in 3-D.

There are also several classic movies that are being re-mastered in 3-D. The NFL has begun filming games in 3-D and showing them to test audiences.
